 Position Summary:

The Reconstruction Manager oversees the execution of reconstruction projects following the mitigation phase. Working closely with Project Managers, the Reconstruction Manager ensures that all reconstruction work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, on schedule, and within budget. This role involves coordinating tradespeople and subcontractors, monitoring job progress, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the restoration process.  The Reconstruction Manager ensures that every project reflects the Paul Davis commitment to integrity, innovation, and excellent customer service. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution
    ·         Oversee daily operations of reconstruction projects after estimates are approved.
    ·         Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
    ·         Apply carpentry skills to assist with framing, finishing, and other hands-on construction tasks when required.
    ·         Coordinate schedules, resources, and materials to maintain efficient workflows.

    Team & Subcontractor Coordination
    ·         Supervise and support trades staff and subcontractors on job sites.
    ·         Monitor performance, workmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
    ·         Resolve site issues and adjust plans to keep projects on track.

    Communication & Customer Service
    ·         Maintain ongoing communication with Project Managers regarding project status.
    ·         Provide homeowners, property managers, and insurance representatives with updates as required.
    ·         Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

    Budget & Quality Oversight
    ·         Track labour, materials, and subcontractor costs against project budgets.
    ·         Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
    ·         Ensure final inspections and client sign-offs are achieved with full satisfaction.

    Continuous Improvement
    ·         Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency in reconstruction operations.
    ·         Support training and mentorship for site staff and new team members.

Required Skills and Experience:
·         5+ years of experience in construction or restoration, with demonstrated carpentry skills (framing, finishing, and general carpentry).
·         Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building practices.
·         Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
·         Skilled in coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
·         Effective communicator with tradespeople, clients, and internal teams.
·         Valid driver’s license
·         IICRC certification or restoration industry experience considered an asset.
